Living a longer life is a benefit enough for us to start learning the Ardha-Kurmasana or the Half Tortoise Pose. Sit on your heels, knees and feet together. Reach over your head as high as you can, with palms together, thumbs interlocked. Slowly bend forward, keeping your body in one straight line. While resting your forehead on the ground, reach forward even more. Stay steady for 20 seconds, breathing deeply. Aside from longevity, this also helps cure asthma, indigestion, flatulence, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
