The first few steps in doing the Padangustasana or the Toe Stand are the same with those of the Tree Pose, where you lift your right foot and rest it, as high as possible, in front of your left thigh. After doing this, reach down to the ground while going down slowly with your fingertips touching the ground for support. Concentrate until you find your balance. Stay in position for 10 seconds. Go back to standing position, shake your right foot, rest, then do the pose using the right foot, standing. The Toe Stand helps alleviate rheumatism of the knees, ankles, and feet.
